Winterfold shortlisted for prestigious award
We are delighted to announce that Winterfold has been shortlisted in the Independent School Parents Awards 2024. The prestigious Independent School of the Year Awards are now in their 7th year and continue to champion the best Private Schools at home and abroad. The awards are designed to showcase schools’ success stories and celebrate the extraordinary and compelling student experiences that each school provides.
Winterfold House has been shortlisted in the Independent Prep School of the Year category. Past winners include Sheffield Girls’ Infant and Junior School GDST, Polam School and St Hilary’s School. This year the judges of the awards have been overwhelmed with entries from schools across the UK of all shapes and sizes. A record number of entries were received, which makes Winterfold’s inclusion even more impressive.
Reflecting on the news of Winterfold’s inclusion Headmistress, Mrs Toms, commented:
“Being shortlisted for this award is a fantastic achievement for the school and acknowledges the excellent work that is being done here at Winterfold. We are a small Prep school with a big heart. The ‘Winterfold Way’ is central to our approach and ensures that all pupils enjoy the full prep school experience. We are grateful to have been Shortlisted, it is the perfect way to cap what has been an excellent year for us”.
The winners, chosen by an independent panel of expert judges, will be revealed at an awards ceremony in October. Until then we keep our fingers firmly crossed and look excitedly ahead to the new academic year in September.
