Well done to our pupils who have been tasked with planting the first set of fruit trees for our new orchard in Forest School. Years 2 and 6 are shown hard at work below.
This week saw the children in Pre-Prep and Prep taking part in tree planting sessions in our Forest School area. The children learnt about the conditions needed to plant native trees, and received instructions from our grounds staff, Scott and Matt. By planting trees, the children are leaving an enduring legacy for future Winterfold generations.
Year 1 have enjoyed making Santa Advent calendars this week . They are very excited about counting down the days to Christmas by adding to Santa’s beard each day.
We are again taking part in #SocialAdvent, a set of Christmas challenges on social media, run by the company, Interactive Schools. The first task was to invent a festive hashtag and use it throughout December – search #WinterfoldAtChristmas on Twitter and Instagram to see what we have been posting so far.
