Harvest produce goes to Basement Project to help local community

The whole School was involved in Harvest Mass this week, celebrated by Father Lamb and Deacon Sean.  The new Worship Leaders led the Mass with their superb reading of their own Bidding prayers and from the Scriptures.  As a School, we amassed a wide variety of fresh and dry produce to give to the Basement Project in Bromsgrove, which was delivered by the Worship Team and Mr Mitchell. We are heartily grateful for your donations, which shows our commitment as a School to our local community.  This time of year can be extremely difficult for those families in the unfortunate position of needing food and shelter.  As always, we keep them in our prayers.

Pre-Prep Harvest Festival

The Pre-Prep Harvest Festival was a lovely event for family and friends on Friday 11th October.  The staff are extremely proud of the children’s efforts to learn and perform their musical numbers so eloquently. A big thank you to all of our families for their very generous donations of food and produce for the Basement Project.

Taster Sessions for the Tennis Academy

Winterfold children have received a free tennis taster session with Director of Tennis, Richard Lawton. This morning, it was the Year 8s turn. They had great fun playing ‘tennis cricket’ and ‘Champion’. Places are still available for anyone who would like to join the Bromsgrove/Winterfold academy. Cross Country Stars

On Thursday 10th October, fourteen children took part in the annual Cross Country event organised by Abberley Hall School.  Despite the inclement weather, our resilient children showed true Winterfold spirit and ran with guts and determination to the very end. There was some tough competition from schools across the region. Our top placed finisher was Isaac B-G, who finished in an excellent 8th place in the U11 Boys’ race, with the boys finishing in an excellent 4th place. In the U11 Girls race, our top placed girl was Poppy J who was 20th. All of our runners finished with smiles on their faces. Well done everyone.
