Penryn Hall Development

You will have seen that the investment into the fantastic new Penryn Hall and new entrance and offices have been taking shape during 2023/24. The theatre space and chapel are on target to be finished by the end of the academic year, and we can look forward to all of the exciting concerts, productions and other activities we are planning.

The first half of term involved specialists surveying the structure in readiness for demolition. Over the Easter holidays, followed by an archaeological dig – which is compulsory as we are a historic site, specialists surveying the structure in readiness for demolition attended the site. Over the summer holidays 2023, the offices were demolished and the new ones built in readiness for the new academic year in September 2023.

At the end of the twelve months, we will have a wonderful new multi-purpose space, with Chapel, lobby area, toilet facilities for visitors and storage spaces. There will be retractable tiered seating and it will have all the latest technology for sound and lighting. We will have the most amazing performance space, which will rival any School – and do our fantastic Drama and Music productions justice.
