A Midsummer Night’s Dream with The Young Shakespeare Company
Our budding young actors from Years 5 & 6 were treated to an afternoon with The Young Shakespeare Company on Monday, watching and participating in an active drama workshop on A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The Young Shakespeare Company has a cast of dynamic, professional actors with a passion for performing Shakespeare for younger audiences. The children understood the events of the play whilst actively taking part in the performance.
The actors, costumes, props and scenery were outstanding, as were the children’s contributions, both oral and dramatic!
This is the start of a series of planned activities and lessons to celebrate the works of Shakespeare.
On Saturday at Open Morning, Year 7 will be performing key scenes from Romeo and Juliet to continue our Shakespearian theme.
