Radio Winterfold Christmas Broadcast

On Tuesday, 15th December 2020, Radio Winterfold held their first ever live broadcast. The Christmas special featured music requests, plays, countdowns, prayers and interviews with special guests, including Armstrong Mthembu, Headmaster of our sister school in South Africa. There was also some festive fun including  ‘Sprout in a box’ and ‘Banter with Santa’.

The School has a state of the art radio room, which was opened by Ed James from Heart FM in 2019. Mr Price, the founder of the project, said. ‘We have such an amazing resource here at Winterfold. The radio room allows children to familiarise themselves with radio broadcasting, recording music, podcasting, writing and reading. In the current climate, where live performances are not permitted with an audience, the radio room is proving invaluable. It has been such fun putting together this show and we hope for many more to come.’
