Year 2 had a great time on Tuesday 18th September at the Black Country Living Museum, one of the largest open-air museums in the UK.
The children explored the original period shops and houses and experienced a little of what it was like to live and work in one of the world’s most heavily industrialised landscapes.
The exciting Year 8 Camp Out has become a traditional get together for our seniors at the start of their final year at Winterfold. They set up their tents on Friday evening, enjoyed a pizza dinner and had a very exciting game of “Predator” with their torches! A campfire meant toasted marshmallows, hot chocolate and some spooky campfire stories…
KG2 children have been creating a collage of autumn leaves and practising their autumn song for the Harvest celebration.
In Art and DT, Reception children have used a selection of media and materials to create their very own monster faces.
Our Year 1 historians have been learning about life in Tudor times at Harvington Hall, both below and above stairs.
Meet the newly formed Boys’ Rock Choir. They are currently rehearsing a new arrangement of U2’s With or Without You. We look forward to hearing the result!
Early Years children have had a great time today in their Music Makers session with singing teacher Mrs Richardson. They have started learning the Conkers song and had an introduction to percussion instruments!
New and existing parents enjoyed coffee and a chat at our coffee morning. If you would like to find out more about the FOW, the next meeting is on Thurs 13th Sept at 7.30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
Congratulations to Luke, William, Charlie and Finlay, our new Pack Leaders this year!
At Winterfold, we are lucky to have the support of our wonderful parents. FOW is a fundraising committee run by parents and staff. They will be at the Coffee Morning on Friday 7th Sept and would love to see new and existing parents there. Come and join us for a chat!
