Former Winterfold pupils meet with Armstrong Mthembu at Bromsgrove

Former Winterfold pupils who went on sports tour to South Africa in 2013, 2015 and 2017 were delighted to meet up with Armstrong Mthembu, Headmaster of Ncemaneni Primary on Wednesday 18th October at Bromsgrove School.

Mr Mthembu was given a tour of the School, met with School Governors and the Headmaster Mr Peter Clague and spent time with the pupils reminiscing over lunch.

For many Winterfold pupils, the Year 7 & 8 sports tour to South Africa is the highlight of their school career.  It is an opportunity for the pupils to do something for others.  Winterfold has always received an incredibly friendly welcome at Ncemaneni and it has been a privilege to host Mr Mthembu on his first visit to the School.

The tour to South Africa is influential in broadening our pupils’ horizons and helps to gain a greater understanding of what is really important.  They meet inspiring people and return full of stories, friendships and great memories that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
