Ancient Greek Festival

Year 4 pupils thoroughly enjoyed travelling back in time on Thursday 8th March when they took part in an Ancient Greek Festival at School.

The children participated in a mock Olympic Games with the help of the Discover History team.  Artefacts and replica objects helped bring to life the daily routine of the ancient greeks.

In the afternoon, they took part in a spear and shield drill and the day ended with a re-enactment of The Battle of Thermopylae.

The festival has filled the children with enthusiasm for their new topic on Ancient Greece.
