Winterfold Prep Students gain great skills at Malvern’s Art Day

On Thursday 28th September, Year 7 and 8 pupils from Winterfold Prep School spent the day at Malvern College, exploring the Arts.

Pupils were involved in three different areas of activity covering CDT, Art and Music.

In CDT, the pupils produced industrial style plans for a camera using CAD programming and then went on to fabricate some wonderfully intricate jewellery.  In Art, they dressed a manikin with an amazingly modernistic dress made of cable wires.  They also developed their skills using Photoshop. In Music, they joined together to form a large orchestra of some 40 pupils and performed some orchestral favourites including Elgar’s Enigma Variations and a piece by Dvorak.

It was also great to see some former Winterfold pupils doing well in their studies.

Winterfold has a Parents’ choir that will be starting after half term. If you can sing with confidence or read music please get in touch – music@winterfoldhouse.co.uk to find out more.
