Abberley U’11 & U’13 Cross-Country-Thursday 7th October
Winterfold’s Girls’ and Boys’ teams in the U11 and U13 age groups to the annual Abberley Cross-country event on Thursday 7th October. Our girls put in a superb effort on the day and faced tough competition with up to 60 runners in each age group. Very well done to the U13 team. The U11 girls team also did very well with 3 of our top four runners coming from year 5 which is very encouraging for next year.
The Boys U13 team had placings of 2nd/5th/11th and 15th to win the team event whilst the U11 team finished 2nd/9th/13th and 14th to finish in second place just a couple of points behind the victors. In addition, some of the U11 team finished in the top 20. It was wonderful to see so many runners from 13 different schools taking part in these events again. Well done to all the boys and girls for their efforts on the day.
