School Community Unites for Harvest Mass Celebration

The whole school came together in a spirit of gratitude and community for this year’s Harvest Mass, a joyful and meaningful celebration involving pupils from Reception through to Year 8. Parents and families filled the hall, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere as everyone joined together to give thanks for the season’s bounty.
The altar was beautifully decorated with colourful displays and baskets of produce generously donated by our wonderful school community. These vibrant offerings were a striking reminder of the power of giving and the importance of helping those in need.
The Mass was led by Father Lamb and Deacon Sean, who delivered thoughtful reflections on gratitude, kindness, and the importance of community spirit. Our Spiritual Leaders played a special role in the service, supporting the liturgy with care and reverence. Pupils of all ages spoke with confidence and eloquence, reading prayers, bidding intentions, and taking part in the celebration with enthusiasm.
Rousing hymns filled the hall, lifting hearts and voices as the school community came together in song. The sense of togetherness and joy was felt by everyone present.
Later in the day, the celebration of generosity continued as the Spiritual Leaders joined Mrs Howarth to load one of the school minibuses with the donated produce. The team then delivered the contributions to the Basement Project in Kidderminster, where they will support local individuals and families in need.
“This is a truly special tradition in our school calendar,” said Mrs Howarth. “It’s wonderful to see pupils, families, and staff coming together to celebrate and give back to the community.”
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and participated in making this year’s Harvest Mass such a meaningful occasion.
