Year 4 Pupils Embrace Adventure on Condover Hall Residential

Year 4 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable residential trip to Condover Hall last week, embracing a packed programme of outdoor adventure in glorious sunshine.

The excited group threw themselves into every challenge with enthusiasm and determination. From scaling the high ropes course and tackling the gladiator wall to conquering their fears on the abseiling tower, the pupils demonstrated impressive bravery and resilience throughout the trip.

After action-filled days, evenings brought a chance to relax and reflect. Children gathered around the campfire to toast marshmallows and sing together, creating a warm and memorable atmosphere that many described as a highlight of the experience.

This visit marked the pupils’ second residential trip of the academic year, following a highly successful overnight stay at the National Space Centre last term. Both experiences have provided valuable opportunities for personal growth beyond the classroom.

Staff members Mrs Miles, Miss Blackburn and Mr Bates accompanied the children and praised their behaviour and attitude. Pupils were described as a credit to the school, showing kindness, teamwork and positivity at all times. The trip also included team-building exercises that helped to strengthen friendships and encourage cooperation, alongside lighter moments such as visiting the on-site shop for treats.

Teachers noted that the residential played an important role in developing confidence and independence, while giving pupils the chance to create lasting memories with their peers.

The trip proved to be a wonderful way to kickstart the Summer Term, leaving pupils inspired and eager for the months ahead. For many, it is an experience they will be talking about for a long time to come.
