Moving On from Winterfold
For most of our pupils, the natural next step after Year 8 is Bromsgrove School, where they continue their education from Year 9 onwards. This transition is seamless and well supported, as we work closely with Bromsgrove School and Bromsgrove Prep to build strong, lasting relationships.
Throughout their time at Winterfold, pupils regularly visit Bromsgrove, becoming familiar with its impressive facilities and teachers. Mr. Punt, the Headmaster of Bromsgrove School, is a frequent visitor here at Winterfold, and his friendly presence is well known to our pupils, helping to create a sense of continuity and reassurance.
By the time they leave Winterfold, our pupils are not only academically prepared but also equipped with the confidence and skills to thrive in an ever-changing world. They emerge as quietly confident, thoughtful global citizens ready to make their mark.
Year 8 pupils take on leadership roles that nurture responsibility and independence, giving them invaluable experience before moving on. To celebrate the end of their time at Winterfold and to prepare them for the next stage, we offer a carousel of life skills activities—everything from ironing and tying a bow tie to table setting and silver service—ensuring they leave us ready for the wider world.
