Admission Process

How Does the Admissions Process Work?

We welcome children at any age, as long as there is a place available. The first step is to arrange a visit to Winterfold, so you can experience the school and community for yourself. If you feel Winterfold is the right fit, we’ll invite your child to spend a day with us—giving them a true taste of school life and helping you feel confident in your decision.

What Are the Entry Requirements?

Winterfold is a non-selective school with no formal entrance exams. We believe every child who wishes to join us should be given the opportunity, provided we feel they will benefit from our supportive and nurturing environment.

What Happens Next?

If all goes well (which it usually does!), we will offer your child a place and ask you to complete a Registration Form if you haven’t already. There is a one-time Registration Fee of £120.

Before your child starts, you’ll receive a joining pack including our Parent’s Handbook and Parent Contract (Terms and Conditions), along with an Acceptance Form to confirm your child’s place. At this stage, a refundable deposit of £500 is requested, which will be deducted from your final invoice.

When time allows, we like to invite new pupils for a second day to help them settle in and start building friendships. Throughout the process, we keep families informed of school events and warmly welcome your involvement.

For more information or to arrange a visit, please contact our Admissions Manager at admissions@winterfoldhouse.co.uk or call 01562 777234.
