Actor and Musician Lara Lewis Inspires Winterfold Pupils

Winterfold was thrilled to welcome actor and musician Lara Lewis, who is currently touring the UK in Calamity Jane, for a very special visit to our Performing Arts department.

Lara began her day with an interview for Black Country Radio, before exploring our fantastic facilities—including the new Penryn Theatre and the Radio Room. Both Lara and the radio team were hugely impressed by the professional-standard spaces we’re so proud of.

Our Senior pupils on the Drama Scholarship Pathway then enjoyed an exclusive workshop led by Lara. She shared her journey as a performer, answered questions about life on stage, and even treated everyone to a stunning violin performance.

Director of Drama, Mrs Stark, said:

“Lara’s visit was an incredible opportunity for our students to learn directly from a professional artist working at the highest level. Her passion, generosity, and encouragement have inspired our drama scholars to pursue their ambitions with renewed confidence.”

The day was a wonderful celebration of the Performing Arts at Winterfold and gave our pupils a glimpse into the exciting possibilities that await them in the world of theatre and music.
