Year 4 Bring Joy and Song to Chaddesley Corbett Care Café

What a joyful afternoon it was as our talented Year 4 pupils brought music, smiles, and companionship to the Chaddesley Corbett Care Café this week.
The visit was filled with heartwarming moments, beginning with a beautiful musical performance that truly showcased the children’s confidence and talent. The choir delighted the audience with a diverse repertoire, including the uplifting classic “I Believe I Can Fly”, the lively and rhythmic “La Vida”, and a colourful selection of South African songs that had toes tapping and faces beaming throughout the room.
Adding a special touch to the performance were stunning solos by Charlotte, Neophitos, and Stanley, whose voices shone with clarity and expression, earning warm applause and admiration from the audience.
It was clear from the reaction in the room just how much the performance was appreciated — not only for the music, but for the joy and energy the children brought with them.
After the music, the afternoon continued with board games and conversation, as pupils and guests spent time together laughing, chatting and enjoying one another’s company. It was a lovely way to build connections across generations and share in the simple pleasures of games and storytelling.
The visit to the Care Café is part of our ongoing commitment to community outreach and giving pupils the opportunity to share their talents while making meaningful connections beyond the school gates.
We are so proud of Year 4 for their enthusiasm, kindness and impeccable behaviour throughout the afternoon. A huge thank you to the Care Café team for welcoming us so warmly — we’re already looking forward to our next visit!
