Winterfold Cross Country Welcomes 230 Runners for a Spectacular Afternoon of Sport

We were delighted to welcome 13 local schools to Winterfold yesterday for our annual Winterfold Cross Country event – and what a fantastic afternoon it was!

With clear blue skies and crisp autumn air, the scene was set perfectly for a day of competitive spirit and camaraderie. The dry course provided ideal running conditions — not a patch of mud in sight — and over 230 pupils rose to the challenge across the U11 (2.4km) and U13 (3km) races.

Throughout the afternoon, runners showed exceptional determination, sportsmanship and team spirit, cheered on by enthusiastic supporters lining the course. Every pupil who took part should feel incredibly proud of their achievement.
