What a Wondrous World of Online Learning

This week, our pupils have really settled into their online learning and have become very independent at utilising all of the digital tools.

Instrumental music lessons via Zoom have been in full swing, with over a hundred lessons being delivered in lockdown, thanks to our fantastic team of peris.

Some of the virtual learning highlights from this week have been our young Geologists learning all about the Rock Cycle, lessons on pitch and amplitude, writing and performing magic spells, visiting jungles, calculating money and budgets, virtual visits to the seaside, a boat trip on the River Thames and even afternoon tea at Buckingham Palace, complete with invitations, home-made crowns and scones!

To encourage health and physical exercise whilst we are in lockdown, the PE dept has enrolled in the online programme real PE.  Daily and weekly guidance is provided for its Early Years, Key Stage 1 and 2 programmes, with thousands of hours of fun and activity designed for the home and garden.

There are so many benefits to being active, not only to our physical wellbeing but also to our emotional and mental health. We hope that the ideas help support you and your family to stay fit and healthy in the coming months.
