Pre-Prep Nativity Brings Festive Magic to the Stage

On Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th December, the Pre-Prep department delighted families with their wonderfully heart-warming nativity, Born in a Barn. Every child from KG2 to Year 2 took part in the much-anticipated production, transforming the stage into a vibrant retelling of the classic story of the birth of Christ. Their lively interpretation filled the hall with joy, humour and festive cheer, creating an atmosphere that captivated audiences from start to finish.

One of the most memorable moments came when our senior pupils joined forces with the Year 1 angels for a moving rendition of Silent Night. Sung with clarity, innocence and emotion, the performance brought a hush over the room — and not a dry eye remained. It was a powerful reminder of the beauty that emerges when pupils of different ages come together in shared celebration.

Across both performances, the children shone with confidence and enthusiasm. They delivered their lines with assurance, danced with boundless energy, and sang with heartfelt passion. For many, this was their first experience performing on stage, yet every pupil embraced the opportunity with excitement and pride. Their collective effort resulted in a truly unforgettable show, revealing a host of emerging talents who are sure to grace the Penryn stage for many years to come.

A huge amount of preparation and dedication went on behind the scenes, and sincere thanks must go to the Pre-Prep staff for their tireless work. Their planning, encouragement and attention to detail ensured that every child felt supported and that the production ran seamlessly from beginning to end.
