PGL Rocks!

Last week, Year 4 pupils accompanied by Miss Humphrey, Miss Howarth and Mr Brinkley spent an amazing three days on their PGL residential trip (which they were delighted to discover has the nickname Parents Get Lost! at Hillcrest in Herefordshire.

The weather treated them well, with beautiful sunshine throughout which really made the activities seem even more enjoyable! Over the course of the three days, the children took part in lots of activities, such as the trapeze, the zip wire, abseiling and rifle shooting. The children showed tremendous courage and determination, with all of them willing to have a go, even on some of the more scary challenges. They also spent a day at the water centre building rafts and canoeing and they had great fun getting rather wet!

In the evenings, there was still plenty of fun to be had and no time to waste sitting indoors! They had great fun taking part in activities as a whole year group. For the first evening, Year 4 sat around the campfire toasting marshmallows and learning lots of loud and repetitive songs. On the last evening, they played a human version of ‘Robot Wars’, which consisted of dressing up a member of their group as a robot to go head to head in the battle arena!

Year 4 had a brilliant time with many saying they would have loved to stay even longer. They behaved beautifully and learnt lots about how to develop their skills and work well as a team.

Most importantly, they all had loads of fun!
