Father Lamb’s visit on Wednesday

On Wednesday afternoon, Father Lamb visited Year 3 in school to baptise baby ‘John’.  As part of our unit on Baptism, he demonstrated how the ceremony is conducted and as such, he elected two parents and two godparents to support the baby in his first sacrament.  He showed the children how to administer the holy oils and water and the promises which are undertaken by the baby’s godparents.  The children then had an opportunity to ask Father Lamb some questions about his vocation as a priest and the sacrament of Holy Orders.  They all participated extremely well and had a thoroughly informative and enjoyable afternoon.
