Our Year 2 pupils children ventured to Enginuity Science Museum at Ironbridge on Tuesday 5th March.
After an interactive exploration of the museum, the children participated in a Parachuting Parcels workshop, looking at gravity and air resistance. In mixed teams, they designed and made a parachute with shock absorbing packaging, to safely deliver a raw egg, dropped from a height into the drop zone. The designs were marked on accuracy, speed of drop and safety of the cargo.
The Eggsterminators were victorious in the task. Throughout the trip, the children’s behaviour and team ethic was excellent and most children have expressed their desire to visit the museum with their families.
