Aquathon

On 19th May, four intrepid Winterfold athletes competed in the annual Malvern College Aquathon.

Basking in the Spring sunshine and overshadowed by the towering Malvern Hills, competitors swam, ran and transitioned for glory.  Competition was tough, with eight local independent schools taking part.

Jason L and Oliver S competed in the U11 boys’ race, completing the 100m swim and 800m run (400m of which was uphill!) in 6.29 minutes and 6.54 minutes respectively.  Both of these were excellent times, with Jason coming 11th overall, and Oliver 25th.

In the U11 girls’ race, Jasmine A completed the course in an impressive 7.11 minutes, whilst Olivia O, our only Year 5 competitor did extremely well by finishing in 7.26 minutes.  They came in 24th and 28th place respectively.

Well done everyone.  This was a superb effort in a really difficult discipline.
