Blists Hill Victorian Museum

On 7th February, Year 5 spent a fantastic day at Blists Hill Victorian Museum near Ironbridge.  After visiting the bank to collect their Victorian money, the children spent the afternoon visiting the Victorian shops and houses, making candles and avoiding the ‘blackdamp’ in the clay mine.

The pupils also discovered that the majority of the Year 5 girls were taller than Queen Victoria (measuring in at just 4 feet 8 inches).  With some wonderful comments from members of the public about how well-mannered and well-behaved the children were, a good time was had by all.
