Discover History Viking Day

Year 3 have enjoyed going back in time and learning about the Vikings with Paul from Discover History. The children looked at weapons and armour and had lots of fun re-enacting the Battle of Stamford Bridge. In the afternoon, they studied Viking burials, crime and punishment, and investigated an interesting ‘Rot or not?’ activity. Thank you Discover History!

Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

On 7th-8th June, the hugely talented Year 8, supported by the select Year 5/6 choir, were outstanding in their production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  Mr Geoff Strong, one of the School Governors, presented the cast with a special signed picture from Tim Rice, congratulating them on a successful, entertaining performance.  A huge thank you and well done to all the cast and staff who played their part to make the performances so successful.

Hadrian’s Wall……done!

Congratulations to everyone who battled through thick and thin and achieved something incredible for an equally incredible cause. A message from the Hitting-The-Wall Survivors – “A massive thanks to all those who have sponsored us.  The response has been overwhelming and we are now close to doubling our original target of £3000. We’ll be able to buy a lot of shoes for the children of Ncemaneni, and it will make a huge difference”.
