An evening of Monologues

On Thursday 9th February, Winterfold House School’s talented Year 5 pupils took to the stage to perform monologues from different literary characters and inspiring figures from the past. The children researched their chosen person and wrote a short monologue in the first person, explaining their story.

All of the children showed pure bravery and performed with charisma and enthusiasm in front of an audience of parents and staff.  Oliver Sirett’s confident Robin Hood, Isla Chattin’s charming Julie Andrews, Louis Malanaphy’s daring Danny (from Danny the Champion of the World) and Annabelle Kenny’s cheeky Violet Beauregarde deserve special mention.

Well done to all who took part!
