The FOW School Shop sells secondhand uniform, new games kit, school coats, hats and scarves, bags and mathematics equipment and is staffed by a group of willing parents. The profits have enabled us to purchase match kit for all the teams in the school. The shop is open every morning during term time.
FOW Committee meetings are open to all. There are two in the Autumn term and one at the beginning of the Lent and Summer terms.
If you would like to find out more about Friends of Winterfold and dates of the next meeting please contact the Chairman, David Aldred, via the school office or Vice Chair, Justine Batham-Read on 07966 828655Recent Friends of Winterfold Events:
This year marked the fourteenth FOW Christmas Market. Since the first market in 1999, this festive occasion has become a real Winterfold tradition! Santa's Grotto was more spectacular than ever this year and there was a wide range of goods on offer from our guest stalls, aumented by the tombolas, games, tea room, sweet and cake stalls. A big thank you to everyone who helped!
In October a group of some 50 children, staff, parents and grandparents set off on the coach for a Pantomime Trip to see the Olivier Award winning musical Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre in London. The performance was excellent!
The FOW Medieval Fayre There was certainly lots of medieval fun for the whole family in May when The Knights of Middle England came to Winterfold! With jousting, fancy dress, falconry, pig roast, games, tombolas, and bouncy castles there was something for everyone. We even put several teachers in the stocks! The day was rounded off by a superb performance from the Groove Diggers and tea and cakes on the lawn. As ever, Friends of Winterfold rely on the support from a hard working group of parents before, during and after the event. A huge thank you to everyone who helped in any way.
